Do you have a photo of the reverse? I think based on the photo this is a good medal bar.

It looks good from the front.

This is a nice, but common trio and thus unlikely to be a remount or fake mounting. It wouldn't be worth the effort by those who commonly are doing this sort of thing. They tend to go for the rare and the fantastical in their bar configurations.

Show us a photo of the back, which is where the tell-tale signs usually are.

I agreee this bar is probably a good one from mid 1930s era, but I absolutely do not agree cheap groups are not faked. They are!

Don and Saschaw. Any chance you may be able to show one or two fake medal bars of the more common soldier type. The reason I ask is that I am currently collecting a few of the various small medal bars much like the ones Don you posted on your thread The Fightingman and I was not aware that these bars were actually faked. When you say faked do you mean the actual bar is a put together but does have genuine medals or do you mean the the actual medals are fake as well.

Usually original awards are used, but it's the same as with the big and special bars: on a fake bar, you never know. Maybe the fakers don't even theirselves...

Thankyou for that link Saschaw and its very interesting to look at so many items that as you have indicated are suspect. I also find it interesting that the ebay seller has 100% feedback. And I also find it interesting that most of the items (medal bars) that I looked at seemed to have original medals attached to them or thats what they appear to be going on the photos supplied. I would assume most of the ribbons would be modern reproductions.
I guess this leads me to the question as to why would anybody bother with putting an original EK together with an original state medal and an original Hindy medal and selling them for a similar and sometimes less price than what such medals sell for as individuals. It just does not make sense to me. I can fully understand these fantasy medal bars with 6,7,8 or even more medals attached as these fetch much higher prices.
Nevertheless, having seen that it just reinforced a decision I made many years ago to stay away from ebay.

There is a lot of faking going on in the past few years. Keep in mind that that particular seller does not deal exclusively in fakes. I bought something off him a while back which was perfectly okay.

Maybe it depends on where you're looking from, but here in Germany, those standard WW1 awards are common, not very sought after - and actually hard to sell as singles for a "normal" price. This referrs even to standard WW1 EKs, and much more to e.g. Saxcon Friedrich-August-Medaillen.

I cannot even remember when I sold the last standard EK2 in my web shop.

That's why bars are made from it - they sell faster and ususally for some, and sometimes for much more.
