    Heydes' Max Aurich Collection...Gospel??

    A quick and basic question.....

This is one of my favourite pictorial EK reference books, but not being a German speaker, I'm not sure I actually know exactly what it is I'm looking at...

Is this the collection of the pictured 'Max Aurich' - including some of his own awards - or the combined collections of Aurich and the author Heyde - (I see both credited to different pieces....) or what??.....

And therefore, can the pieces in this book be considered 100% Gospel period originals.

    Maybe someone can brief me...

    Thanks in advance

--The collection pictured is that of Herr Aurich, Heyde is just doing the documentation. As close to 'gospel' as you're gonna get, IMO.

I'll second Bill's sentiment. For 1813 thru some 1914 EKs this reference has images and info not found anywhere else. A must have reference source for the serious Iron Cross collector IMO. If for nothing else it's valuable for the images of an Iron cross collection put together long before the current era of collecting.
