Jasta stick or ........

Here is something potentially interesting. Came from an old mans garage clearance sale. Everything was filthy including this stick. Seems to be of a favoured style of the period,I have seen pictures of pilots carrying such sticks. It certainly seems old . The top is painted red and has 1917 in thin black paint as well as JASTA and above 11 or 2 in roman numerals. There is also a black EK image. Paint seems suitably worn around top. There are three slash marks below the inscription, ?? Any opinions ? Ferg

Hard to say without provenance, but I sure like the look of it.I've got pictures of my uncle parading around with his stick, circa 1918.
