Machine gunners breast plate

I think the jewel of my purchases is this MG gunners breast plate. I don't know about the markings anyone able to help on more information?

It could be I guess I believe there were 3 smaller plates that attached to the bottom. I also believe they were iused in conjunction with the helmet plate.


One version was because MG nests were targeted by snipers the helmet plate and chest plate were utilized to minimize having to get more machine gun operators every time a sniper opened up.

Breast Plate

The markings , concentric circles, indicate the Krupp made it.
