Non Combatant Iron Cross

I read on here that only about 13,000 non combatant Iron Crosses were issued.. Is this true? Other than the ribbon is there anyway to tell if an Iron Cross is combatant or non combatant? This is magnetic

I found this one and am curious about it... Any info would be great.

There is no way to know for sure. The pendants are both the same(Combatant and non combatant)

Not only modern, but totally wrong. The measurements of the stripes cannot possibly be correct.

The cross itself is probably good, the ribbon definitely is not.

Cross is good IMHO, but ribbon is fake, as already stated. We should bear in mind, that awards of non-comb EK2s were rare. The ribbon are not that rare, so finding an unmounted non-comb EK2 is much easier than a mounted one (which was actually awarded). Anyway, the (orignial) white-black ribbon is beginning to be scarce to, so fake ribbons emerge. I'd suggest to buy an original ribbon from reputable dealer or other verifiable source, and not to pay too much extra for unmounted piece with non-comb ribbon (the ribbon, if original, should not commend more than 10€, and unomunted EK2s, if not some rare or special variant, go for 35-45€; you can get them even cheaper.)

Thank you again Valter! Great stuff.. I never considered myself to be a fan of the WWI stuff but now I am realizing I might have more WWI stuff than the Third Reich.. it was always just easier to get... I only have one Third Reich Iron Cross.. i have several WWI...
