Big Imperial Grouping

Hey guys,

Sort of new to the imperial stuff, but I picked up a great grouping off Brian earlier in the year. I was amazed, as I thought it was just a group of medals etc., but it came with some very interesting letters, postcards and documents.

I find it very hard (well, basically impossible) to make out what a lot of it is, so I was hoping maybe you guys could help me out a bit.

Before I post any images, I wanted to make sure that I am not imposing here, as it is mainly my own ignorance (and lack of time) that has not permitted me to know what all the stuff is. It is also a large amount of stuff, so I'm not sure if I should break it up into a few threads or just post it all at once under this one.

If you guys are willing and interested, I would love to share this grouping. Hopefully we can both walk away fulfilled!

Anyways, I'll base my actions on responses I receive here.

Ok, well I just spent the last couple of hours scanning/resizing. I'll try and post images of the medals and other stuff (map, compass, box) tomorrow night.

Some of these are official looking documents, others are letters. Some of the letters you may notice look much older and I am curious as to the date of them if anyone can decipher it in the writing or anything.

There are also postcard and photos. Here it goes, and don't say I didn't warn you about the quantity! Hopefully the quality is good as well!

First we start off with the oldest looking letter. It looks to have a date of 1774 on the bottom, but I am in doubt as to whether it would last that long if that was the case. There is 8 pages to it, here is the first:
