Dear Imperialoids,
I was in Novegro (a Militaria show close to the Airport of Milano-Linate) and I couldn't resist to buy an interesting türkisches Halbmond. I got it from Austrian dealers, who I am not sure they might have been there representing the famous Austrian Auction House "Dorotheum". One of them told me that this star could have been produced in Austria, because of its construction's method. To me it looks very German, typical solid German 30s quality work. The Needle system on the back is very solid with a typical "C" catch. The star is slightly vaulted and the enamel is very solid, too without any apparent damage.
What do you think?
Ciao,
Claudio
