    Ribbon bars

Does anyone have some ribbon bars to show off?

Spiess, stogieman, and Rick contributed some pretty nice ones. I would love to see more. Anyone have some rare ones like a Baden bar with the MKFMO or a nice Wurttemberg bar? How about a Bavarian bar with a Max Joseph or Bravery medal.

By the way, how would a person know the difference from a Max-Joseph order ribbon or a Bravery medal on a ribbon bar?

No way to tell on the MJO versus BM, except from the clue of other ribbons. Like the Saxon St Henry Order/Medals, the Bavarians never came up with regulation ribbon bar devices for those.

I have exactly TWO Baden MKFVO ribbon bars-- a 1930s 4 bar with only an EK2 and OZLX so untraceable, and a nice long one that I got from Mike Dunn-- that the green enamel wreath fell off of, leaving only the device splints under the ribbon!

Here is that one, which will appear in this website's Ribbon Bar Article, WITHOUT it's device. I've got a "prime suspect" at long last for this one, but no way to confirm that it was indeed HIM, as opposed to almost 50 MKFVO holders who never got a Zähringen Lion!--

Here's a MKFVO that hasn't had its wreath fall off, over two Württemberg Military Merit Orders-- same green enamelled gold wreath, just manufacturers' variations, and then the Wtbg Gold Military Merit Medal, which used a gold wreath.

        *%$&$#%&&&!@#$#

I am such a Baden and Wurttemberg fan. I have a wonderful Order bar for a Wurttemberg Capt or Major but no ribbon bars for either German State. I know, Kingdom and Grand Duchy but is it okay to refer to the areas of Germany as states?

          Bavarian bar

Here is a bar that is either a Bavarian Bravery medal or a Max Joseph order bar.

          Bravery, MMO, EKII, Long Serv.

            My ribbon bars

Here are my bars, what is left of them. I have sold or traded off the rest. Most were common but one was pretty nice and a long one at that.
I am looking for some nice Wurrtemberg bars, Baden bars, and Prussian ( or the rest of the Impire) bars.
Maybe I'll get a shot at one before Stogieman, Rick L., or Spiess gets hold of it. They seem to have all the good ones.
YES, I AM COMPLAINING!!!!! I am a baby.

                  Ribbons

Heck, another example of life being unfair.

I can't tell for sure but it looks like most are Saxon bars.

                    button ribbon bar

I just picked up a very nice button bar with EKII, Bavarian and cross of honor with swords. Cost $ 8.00. With it I got a US three ribbon bar hand sewn with Navy Cross, Admiral Byrd 2nd Arctic expedition 1933-35 and an unknown at the end.

                      ribbons

I am looking for a nice bar for a career officer that doesn't have awards after 1918.
Spiess has the one I want but I don't think I can talk him out of it.

Here is a nice long bar for an oficer who served before WWI, durring WWI, and also in WW2.

I bought this one years back and didn't have any question about it. Doesn't glow and the manufacture is correct.

                              Any opinions?
