I don't know if this means anything or not but I got it from Austria. As for the paint chipping off so easily, I have a lot of wound badges and none of them have paint like this. Just a gut feeling I suppose. And you're right Peter, the quality and manufacture does vary a lot.

I think I'll wait for a few more opinions before it joins its brother on display, but it's worked its way to the top of my junk drawer.

Just thought I'd pop this one on for Tim L. to compare.

It came to me via a fellow forum member, and the only difference from Tim's is that it is made of aluminum and is a gold class.. Very light weight.
