Don't know ifit's Latvian, rather Polish, but it's definitely a fake, yes.

The classical Latvian fakes are multi-part with iron core.

maybe it is a stoopid question but i want to know :

          - do original WW1 EK1's exist in single piece construction .
          - and do WW1 EK2's exist in single construction

the reason i ask is because i am cleaning my boxes with medals and i want o know if i can get rid off the single piece constructions without throwing away a oiginal one .

          thanks , bjorn .

There are some one piece crosses from the 20-30s. Here is a nice german silver example.

The Pumpkin crown fake. Found with several different makers marks as
well as different attachment hardware and in 2nd class, 1st class and
grand cross and star to the grand cross.
