    Help with prussian pilot badge

Hi, not sure if this is the right forum, but I am reposting here.

Could you please help me verifying the authenticity of this?

    Thank you.

Good period issue badge from the Juncker Berlin outlet. The pin end has a pointed tip to it which is unusual with this maker but none the less a nice original badge. Ferg1

Ferg you're the best! Is the coloring just patina vs the silver or is the "copper" coloring A-OK?
      Thanks!

These Juncker issue pieces were usually made from tombak/buntmetal with a silver
' type ' wash to them. The badges are usually found with little or no remaining top finish , years of rubbing ,polishing and general wear causes this and leaves a yellow-ish base metal somewhat like nickel. It tarnishes to a pleasing deeper tone in most cases as this one has done. If you are lucky enough to have an example with frosting /top finish remaining then it usually patinates down to a silver yellow hue . Each badge obviously has its own history and exposure over the years so patination colours vary .
