    Wwi eki

This is my first WWI EKI and my 6th EKI overall. I realize it is not in the best condition but it belongs to the grouping pictured below.

                Hi Adam,

If I were you I would clean the core lightly. It looks as if one of the previous owners used a silver polish on the frame that left a typical white powdery residue on the outer edges of the core. You can get this off with a small, dry paintbrush.

Of course you can also leave it as is.

By the way, that is quite a nice group.
                Best regards,
                Streptile

Thanks Trevor. I might take a go at it as I see what you're talking about.

I couldn't pass up the grouping!

Interesting, Trevor. I didn't know Godets could be unmarked...or that they could be also marked for silver content. Are such Godets common?

                    Best,

                    Alex

Thanks, Greg. That's a beautiful exampe as well, and with "fangs" no less.

Could you please post a pic of the obverse? Thanks again.

                        Best,

                        Alex
