Bad 1914 EK Bar

G’day all

Has anyone else noticed these bars before? I have never seen this obvious fake before. On the originals I have seen they have a box around the outside and a pebbled like affect surrounding the miniature EK. The backing pins definitely do not look period ether.

Oh Gott,

and there are people interrested in that crap that they want to pay more than 60 $ for it. Are they all not able to buy a book or better join the forum to gather information before buying???????moremad

this is my first 'foray' in this forum, I have been reading it for a while, and fond it interesting and very informative. Thanks to all.

With regard to this piece, I am amazed that not only is an obvious fake being offered, but to say it was awarded "to a recipient who had been awarded the iron cross second class two tmes" makes the whole thing absurd.

I have a couple of these1914 bars, and they both have the box around the outside, and the pebbled finish.Check out 'The Iron Time' on page 83 - 87 for some good shots.
