That's the Iron Cross 2nd class from WW1, are the numerals actually joining together or is that just the picture? Other than that this one looks fine.

Can we get a shot of the maker's mark on the ring?

Hi yes i have reloaded the pictures as i re-organised them.
It is a 60 and the previous pictures are a bit out of focus.

Cross looks OK to me.

Casting quality varied from maker to maker with these - over 5 million made pre-1918 and many thousands during the 20s and 30s.

The ring mark is unusual - a bonus.

I would say it is a piece produced between 1941 and 1945. It has the number for Katz und Deyhle, Pforzheim. I have a 1939 KVKoX and a KVM marked by them. With 99% of KVMs are not maker marked, perhaps they marked practically everything they produced. The dates look a tad fuzzy but is that just the picture? The crown obviously has some detail to it. So it depends what you mean by "original". I don't think its WWI period, but a very nice Third Reich replacement piece for a WWI vet. I like it
