Hi Greg,
There are a couple of features about this helmet that make me question it. First of all, the overall shape appears to be a bit too tall, and it looks like there's a seam in the fur running down the side- if so, this should be on the opposite side so as to be covered by the 'bag'. Also, this helmet is from a Brunswick regiment, yet is marked (with what looks like a uniform label) by an Oldenburg maker. Oldenburg had no hussar units of its own, so I find it unlikely that there would have been a busby maker there. Finally, the cords are tied in an arrangement I have not previously seen. Is there any chance of getting pics of the interior so we can see how its constructed?
