Is there an "800" for silver content after the moon?

            ..in response ..

There have been a number of Prusian pilot badges recently produced which are slightly smaller than the standard issue. The rear stamps are as yours. The metal is usually not top silver grade . Without handling yours its hard to tell, but my gutt feeling is that it is wrong.

It is often a good sign when the crown hollowed but the boarder around the rear of the badge usually connects with the crown, this seems to fade .....the pin mount doesnt quite look right.
If its strictly from these photos and you wish to make a purchase i would leave alone but then i am fussy .....
You cannot be 100% certain as the pictures are not clear enough.
My advice ask for a gaurentee or buy from someone who knows his stuff and has his or reputation backed.

                Hi Greg,

The badge you imaged is a repro imo. They have been discussed in the past so a search should find the right thread. Aside from the incorrect hinge, the other giveaway is crescent shaped line on the back of the badge that goes under the catch area.

                Regards

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

If you PM/contact me without the courtesy of using your first name, please don't be offended if I politely ignore you!
