From the pictures the back plate looks to be cast. There iseems to be some porousity showing. Is this piece one piece or three piece construction?
Personally I would look for a better example.

I've seen 3 of these on offer recently, one of which on ebay. It always concerns me when something rare suddenly appears in any number? Is it just paranoia?Comment

I bow to Tony's superior knowledge re the 'casting' issue.......you'll have to take that further with him...but my advice...?
