    Two KO's Two Different Cores?

Been searchin' everything KO. Believe there both original as the one with the massive hinge block seems to be considered as these days.
Have these two core types been named?
    Other than butt ugly... John

      Named as in types? No.

There are at least 4 types of KO EK1 cores.

        Thanks Mike.
So are they identified as a type 1,2, etc...
Can my two be categorized or identified as such ?

          Hi John,

I don't think anyone has ever suggested a typing system for the cores used by KO. However, you show two known cores -- the one on the left is by far their most common, and the one on the right is by far their least common. As Mike has said, there are two others that were in use.

In my opinion the right core, with the large hingeblock, predates the other.
          Best regards,
          Streptile

            Thanks Trevor:
I needed a way to distinguish the two in my inventory.
I will refer to them as 'early, w/massive hinge and 'late war'.
That will work for me till I get another one. Thanks guys. John

I have always thought the butt ugly massive hinged type was the latest type because the sheet metal (no cast) core detail is so poor.
