    Lowly Pair

    This Damenschleife just came in, courtesy of fleabay. I know it isn't a bling grouping, but I like the simplicity of it anyway

    Vince,
    Are these fullsized or is this a mini set?

              Nice set Vince.

              I'm curious about the finish on these KHKs. Most seem to show their dull zinc color entirely. Were they always dull? Or were they silvered (and shiny) when originally awarded, and have dulled over time?
              Best regards,

                    Thank you for the info.

                    Just to clarify... when originally awarded, were the zinc pieces also silvered? Did they basically look like silver? Or is the dull zinc grey color their original finish?
                    Best regards,

                      verleihungsstücke = zinc.
                      privat pieces: bronce + silver

                      since 1916/17= rohstoffknappheit --> much awards were made of zinc (ansonit)

                      1916 they looked the same way like today.

                        Thank you for the information.

                        So the zinc award pieces were not silvered.
                        Best regards,

                          very cool. I have the mini for that bar and a photo to an older nurse wearing a similar one.
