Forward Observation Range Finder "Donkey Ears" Captured at Amiens

    Hi guys,

Im considering purchasing these "donkey ears" captured by a lt.col from CEF during the battle of Amiens. Now i dont know much about these, but given the capture plaque what would you experts consider a fair offer? How rare are these things to be complete like this? Sorry for the small photos..

Also ill include the sellers description:

German Field Artillery Forward Observers Scope (donkey ears) model S.F. 09 Goerz , Berlin. This Observers Scope/Range Finder was captured by the Canadian Expeditionary Force 102ND Battalion (North British Columbians) at the "Battle of Amiens", France , August 1918 . This very scarce piece of WW1 military and optical history was brought back to B.C. by Lieutenant-Colonel E.J.RYAN D.S.O.

Certainly a very interesting piece. I don't know the value of this 'Scherenfernrohr', or scissors, as the Germans called them, but if the price is right.....
