No blobs in the date, which is seen on fakes of this core lately.

Looks good to me, although a fairly roughly cast core. Probably not of the award period, but still a nice example.

Hi Walther,

I don't recognize the frame shape as being from the award period. To me the core looks like a fine Type A. The only question (for me) at this point is when it was made, and weight and (especially) measurements would give me a better idea of whether it was made in the 19th C. or the 20th. Even then it would only be a guess, of course.
