    Thanks for sharing these nice pictures, in WW I was my hometown " Tielt " the headquarters for the western front ( at leaste the part Belgium ) , so there might be a good chancce that your person was in my hometown somwhere during WWI

    are there no mentionings regarding this or otehr parts of Belgium on the pictures ?

      Hi,

      I am not sure if this man was in Belgium. At the moment I'll try to find someone who can "translate" the old German writing on the postcards. I have 35 pics, mostly "Feldpost"-cards of this guy. But even as a German I have problems to read the 80 year old handwriting.

      If I have more informations, I'll let you know.

          Since Württemberg was a kingdom that had its own army, why are these soldaten wearing Prueßen pickelhauben?
