Hi Walther,

In my opinion this is not an AWS. They had one single frame that was used from about 1900 through the end of their career making Iron Crosses, which was sometime between 1930 and 1940. This one does not have that frame. Also, the core is not one of theirs, to my knowledge, and the mark doesn't resemble an AWS to me. I find it a nice original (and probably early wartime) cross, but I don't know the maker.
