    Hi All,

I like to present my new Ek1 with slanted core, marked 800 and FR Sedlatzek. Berlin. W.8. on the pin. Nicely worn.

Very nice. I have a few of these crosses without any marking (except the 800). Is this the maker or did they only buy in and mark them for retail?

Nice score Michel and one that i'm definitely missing from my 800 series
This one has tons of character and looks to have been worn in service, another great example

Hiya Rich, for me, Sedlatzek has always been a retailer, I haven't seen anything yet to prove he manufactured anything.

I agree, Sedlatzic was a retailer. I've also seen wound badges with like marks.
These pieces are pretty hard to find.

            Regards,
            Frank

              Very nice example Michel!

              Imo Sedlatzek was a retailer.

My own Sedlatzek marked 1914EK1 has a J H Werner Core.

                Great find Michel.
It is a great looking cross. I like the patina on the frame and just enough
wear to the core to really show off the details.

I agree. Their 1939 EKs, rare as they are to find marked, look exactly like (i.e., are) Mayers.
                    Best regards,

Mike could you post yours? Lets do a Sedlatzek thread and put it in the database.

lets give you a note to think about

,jewellers advertised and marked iron crosses ,,,but who actually made what (,,at what period,,) fore real ,,,will be the challenge off the off new time collector..
