    Gentlemen,

    A local antique dealer has an 1870 EK I available for purchase. In addition to these images, I have detailed pictures of the interior and exterior corners if desired. Thank you in advance for your comments and opinions.

      I don't think it is any good.

      Nor do I believe it is Third Reich made Godet...

      It's just a modern fake, in my opinion.

          A well-known modern fake that comes as 1870s, 1914s, and 1939 Schinkels.

              Huhmm...a TR-period-like pin, catch and hinge assembly on an 1870 EK1...no, I don't think so. I'd steer clear of that one.

                Thank you very much for your comments. As I am on a steep learning curve re 1870 EKs, I was looking for confirmation that my assessment of this item was 'on track'.
