    1870 Ek2

    Hi All,

I want to present my new 1870 EK2 (which was already presented by Kay).
I made more detailed shots as I found a matching frame in the database,
    see
    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...3&postcount=25
    and
    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...3&postcount=26

By the wear on the reverse (Left arm) it seems to be worn on a bar.

anyone knows the maker of that frame?

    Best regards,
    Michel

Nice sharp details in the core-----I like it

One of the cleanest cores I have seen.

In my opinion an I. Wagner frame. Very nice one.

Super 1870! Lots of character...and HOLY COW on the frame die flaws....This baby must have been ran through the ringer (Or just used to make alot of frames ).

                Anyhow, very nice looking cross!

Thank you all for your nice remarks,

Trevor thanks for identifying, I know of the frame comparison,

                      http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=416819

But didn't knew there where multiple frames identified for Wagner.
Looking at the die flaws, this must be one of the latest made with this die.

                      Best regards,
                      Michel

                        Hi Michel,

That thread establishes the Godet frame -- I believe yours is a Wagner. It is identifiable (to me) by the flaws, the overall shape, and the way the beads get ever smaller as the disappear into the very outer corners of the frame. I'm not sure how clear this is... I hope it's okay since I don't have photos.
                        Best regards,
