For the record, its only 80 Pickelhauben...........but that does sound somewhat greedy now that I think about it.

I know that I would like very much to see some photos of Eric's EK display, same as Bill did.

If I ever get the chance to set up a display, rest assured that I will be pestering both you and Bill for plenty of advice!

--Anything ya need, Eric. Yer right, I am very happy with the collection that I have. I very often stand in front of the cases, staring like a mental patient.
--I have left room for a few small additions when I am finally able, and I am kinda in the market for one or two single WW1 awards, maybe a two-place. Actually two pieces would fulfill my dreams right now: two small bars (preferably 2-3 placers) - one with the.....ahem.......EK and a Lippe-Detmold Cross, and the other with the EK and an Anhalt Friedrich's Cross (both preferably without the Hindenburgs). If I ever see those combos I will spend the money, but I never see `em (and rarely see the Anhalt on a small bar anyway), so my money stays in the wallet. Was that a 'wanted' ad or what?

--And shame on you, Antti! Boring? An 1870 EK? `57 EK's, maybe...
My modest 1870 EK collection consists of a 1st class, three second classes and a second class prinzen and they still inspire me - not to mention the 1813 2. I look at these crosses (especially the 1813) and remember the hardships I went through to finally get good ones.
This forum has made life much easier, I probably wouldn't have had to send some of those crosses halfway across the planet for evaluations if this resource existed then.
--I did get to handle a lot of fake 1813's - 1sts and 2nds, as well as bad 1870 EK1s - so the experience was for the best. Wow, I'm rambling.

          "Wow, I'm rambling."

Yes, well, um. That IS an unfortunate side effect of being here over the "2,000 Post Limit," or, as it is also known, The Forums Bends.

Very few people know this, but this is all actually a NASA Deep Space experiment designed to see if the human brain is able to withstand the enormous distance, stress, and vacuum of a flight to Mars, and back. Unable to "simulate" this any other way, they...

--So what you're saying is that Seba works for NASA? Figures.
--Hell, I've been a 'guinea pig' for other things in my life, actually my girl cooked just now annnnnd....hmmmmmmmm.....still alive!
