Officer ID ? nice medalbar!!!

have looked today in the box with postcards and photos and found him!
and because of his not that bad medalbar i thought i would share his pic and hopefully i can find some info on him!

Medal bar: EK2, WF3aX (? 3bX), HT, SMK, WVK4... we will train you to Ranglisten abbreviations yet!

I can't see shoulder board clearly-- but he is wearing a PEACETIME Waldeck House Order...

In fact, I am rather CONFUSED by his "unit number," since from his Gardelitzen and triple striped trousers, he is apparently GENERAL STAFF, should be a Hauptmann, and should have nothing but PIPS on his boards!!

If it weren't for his trouser stripes, I'd think he was an Oberleutnant of the Kraftfahrtruppen-- but I find NO ONE in that battalion, active or regular, with a WVK4 in 1914.

The only WW1 rolls I have are Waldeck's... but he has nothing "mX" from there yet here.

The picture is so small I really can't see much detail, but based on M 1910 simplified cuff, the dark field behind the double-litzen and the cyphers on the boards, I would be looking for an officer in Garde-Gren Rgmt Nr. 2, Garde-Gren Rgmt Nr. 4 or Gren Rgmt Nr. 123, sometime in 1915. With the WF3aX, I suppose Gren Rgmt Nr. 123 is the best choice.
