    Officer's 1870s Medal Bar

    Picked this up a while back and just thought I would get around to posting it because the sun was out to make some photos. All comments are welcome. Hope you enjoy

      ah - one of uhlig. a very nice one made after 1913 (the owner was about
      60 - 65 years old)

      am i right, that there is a IX years long service medal for a nco and than a RAO 4....

      may i have a picture of the combat clasps?

          Here you are Joe. Thanks for taking a look guys Any info on this bar is much appreciated. The service medal is a 12 year. Was he an UnterOffizier before he became an Officer? Sorry for the bad pics its getting to dark for photos

            A beautiful medal bar! I really like the ribbon furls on the reverse and the Red Eagle Order is magnificent.

              Thanks I tried to take a better picture of the Red Eagle Order but the sun was going down What I like the most about this bar is the tie down of the awards and the construction is very sturdy. Too bas someone painted the EK with some kind of lacure or something

                          He possibly was an Unteroffizier, but he probably never made it to Offizier.

                              Definitely not as an EM/NCO. Later life, as an Amtsrat, Amtsrichter, Fabrik=Besitzer... who knows.

                              The longs service awards are 1913 updates. He had them way before. For sure.
