U-Boat Badge and EK1 & 2

I specialize in Japanese militaria, but I collect other stuff too, and I always liked U-boats and Imperial German items. Anyways, ever since I joined WAC, I've become suspicious of just about everything I own especially German medals and badges. I've had these items for a long time, but I was more trusting back in those days. So, I seek your expertise and experience now. Did I get lucky or did I get burned?

I know it's unlikely the U-boat badge is pre-1918, but if it's pre-1945 or even a 50s reissue I'd be happy with it.

Can't help you with the U-boat badge as I don't know anything about them. But your EK1 and 2 look good to me.

I think your EK2 is excellent +. I'm not so sure about the ribbon, though. Looks new from the pic. Gary

The Uboot badge is not a good one.

The EK1 and EK2 are fine but I agree with Don that the U-boat badge is a good quality repro. Maker mark, reverse profile and (in this case) location of the hardware immediately stand out for me.

That's hard news, but after lurking and reading here a a while, I can't say it is unexpected. At least I'm happy the EKs are good. I will eventually invest in another U-boat badge after I've learned more and can feel confident about what I'm buying.
Don and Mike, thank you for looking at these for me. If you fellows end up with any Japanese items you want to ask about, maybe I can return the favor someday.
