    Pelikan

    Hi,

    I'm trying to find info or even pictures of the Minelayer Pelikan from WWI. My Great great Grandfather served aboard it and I've been searching for info on the ship but haven’t been able to find anything yet. Thanks,

      I’m not sure if that’s the right one, I found this other one (M28) where construction started on it in 1915 and completed in 1916. I’m not sure though if the ships name was originally the Pelikan, it may have been named that as of 1929 but I’m not sure.

      My Grandpa also said his Grandfather fired the big guns on the ship and was awarded an Iron Cross during the war at some point.
