Looking for opinions on this cross. I know that this was an unofficial award and maybe was never awarded. I am being told that this is an unissued cross (near perfect condition) from an old store.

This is a recent fake, mostly offered from a well-known seller from Aachen. He offers hardly ever something real.

But beware, even Weitze has one of these now...

A nice chemically applied patina. I see these on ebay.de by two of my favorite suspects all the time.

Thanks guys. I thought it would be rare for these to be found anyway. Not to mention that the information provided by the seller is limited at best and shaky sounding.

I see there is one on eMedals too. It has finer detailing in the crown and cypher however.

You're right, emedals's seems to be a nice period (ca. 1930s) one.
