      Hello Raffaello,

I like the fact that it is stamped, rather than cast. Generally speaking, I like to see maker's marks on the reverse. I don't care for the pin. Not that it is not original to the badge, but rather that I doubt any stormtrooper would be wearing such a non-closing straight pin.

I have not seen this example either, so perhaps it could be from another time period. So, from what I can see, it looks OK, but I cannot verify the dating.

        Hi Chip,

thanks for the opinion the badge is an "souvenir de guerre" of an
italian officer of Arditi (the story come from family don't sell this badge)
this officer taken at an austrian soldier on Grappa mountain.
Tommorow I return for take better photos.
        cheers

Appears to be a catch near the left edge.

                      Is it made in Kriegsmetall?

If yes seems to me like a good K.u.K. Sturmtrupp badge, rare variation must say, I've personally seen just another one like this, published on the D.Rauch 2005 catalague pag. 68.

                          Raffaello,

Please give me your mail adress via PM so I can send you a picture of the catalogue.

Is it the A marked on the front side?
Usually front side was left for the Artist in order to sign the piece while rear was for the factory marks.

Didn't notice the silver bath, then even more desiderable, silver bathed Sturmtrupp badges are pretty rare.

                          Bests
