What SHOULD go on this Bar?

I've had this one for awhile, and am still trying to figure out what should go on the red ribbon. The Jerusalemkreuz on right now is a pretty crude spangenstueck, which I am skeptical that it fits on this bar. One suggestion has been the Belgian Crown Order and I'm thinking maybe a French Honor Legion? The ribbons have not been fiddled with, so a bit of a mystery

My only thought is KuK Jubiläums-Erinnerungsmedaille of FJ I... or Cross of Merit, KuK as well.
And rather that second one for me.

I would not do any change unless the bar's actual wearer gets identified, so we know what really used to be there. I think there is a ton of awards on a plain red ribbon.

          Red Ribbon=Bulgarian Red Cross WWI

! I suggest that due to the other Red Cross awards the Bulgarian WWI Red Cross medal which has the red ribbon. Awarded to medical personal during WWI. That would be my take on the red ribbon use. Medal and ribbon now on eBay.. I hope this helps get the righ award on your very nice bar. Jon

            Hi V V,

I do not think that a German would have placed the Jerusalem cross between the strange state decorations.

            Regards Mike

Thanks for all the input so far. Mike, I agree that it isn't possible for the Jerusalem to be where it is, especially since it is a Godet bar. I guess I should flip a coin and see which comes up

I tend to lean towards this camp. You never know, weird combinations turn up all the time in photos; things you would never, ever expect to go together.

Of course, what you do with it is up to you.

if i`m right, the jerusalem cross is no zweitstück - it`s a newtime copy.

                  mike do you agree?
