6 Medal Bar w/ Corresponding Ribbon Bar

Ok, this is my final new post for today.

Here we have a combo medal/ribbon bar grouping. Unfortunately, the backing on the medal bar is absent. I don't currently have a shot of the ribbon bar backing, but if the medal bar is deemed unauthentic or post-war assembled, then it's irrelevant, I suppose.

Thanks in advance for your patience and feedback!

    Best regards,

    Jason

Depends on which war you're referring to.

        I think it's a nice, circa mid 30s bar. So post-WW1, but pre-WW2.

Shame about the the backing material but still a nice bar.

Dan/Saschaw - thanks! I know I posted a lot yesterday, but it's really helpful in identifying what to look for moving forward. The more genuine, period items you see, the quicker a baseline develops for authenticity.

I think that's the most difficult thing for relatively new collectors nowadays. Once you get your hands on a generous sampling of genuine, period items, the fakes quickly start to grow increasingly conspicuous.

            Best regards,

            Jason

This rings a bell too- ex Stogie collection @ 1999 AD as I recall. Originally sold on eBay for $111.01! according to my notes.

Seriously! I keep photo records, and every once in a while you see the item again. That's when all that compulsive research pays off!

Here's closer shots of the associated ribbon bar.

...and finally, medal and ribbon bar together.
