German Language help requested

I researching 25 Year service crosses. The crosses considered the fourth form are described as "feingekörnte Arme". The crosses considered the fifth form are described as "grobgekörnte arme". I'm not sure how to translate this, could someone with more German knowledge help?

"grobßekörnte arme- I THINK it means 'Large Grained Arms' but i am not 100%certain on that one.

I believe "gekörnt" translates (in this instance) as "pebbled".

You guys are correct, in German 'grob' means rough or crude.
