Was wanting some opinions on this medal,
Did some searching and found some medals
similar but not quite exact. Is this a good one
or repo?
I know it's a Prussian award but that's about it

First of all, it's upside down. It appears to be part of the helmet wappen for an enlisted man in a Prussian Garde unit. The star, which is a representation of the breast star of the Order of the Black Eagle, was on the chest of the Prussian eagle on the helmet wappen.

I am certainly no expert, but it looks original to me. It would help to have a clearer photo and a photo of the back of it too.

Not necessarily for any headgear. I have something similar (maybe the same) with a pinback assembly, probably for some sort of veteran's / unit association.

True, Mike, but since it's next to that lapel pin I thought it looked a bit too large to be a veteran's pin. It seems large enough to have been part of a Garde wappen, but I could very easiily be wrong.

I think it is a Garde Wappen also, will have it in a few days and will take some better pics, this came with 4 other imperial era awards... which I was able to identify. I bought the group for some TR items, and will probably move the imperial items, just needed some help identifing this badge.

Definitely a Guard Star that goes on the eagle frontplate of a pickelhaube.

Nice find with all the other items!
