    A beauty of an EK1

This is a beauty. Marked 925 but no maker mark. Is it possible to determine a maker? Asking price is $325. Sounds a little high to me. Or is it a fair price?

A real beauty in very nice condition. Interesting hinge assembly and pin shape too. Can't say I've seen one like this before.

Not sure about the price. But considering that a nice cased EK1 can easily sell for $400 to $500, if not more, the amount asked for this cross may be realistic.

          Best,

          Alex

The main pin is imo an old replacement. The core looks to be the more common AWS type. They are known to have used needle pins (not the type shown though) and 925 markings (although I do not recall even seeing such a large 925 marking).

            Regards

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

                Hi!

I wouldn´t buy that cross for that price.

                1. It isn´t really rare, so the price is WAAAY to high. You get this crosses from ebay with ease, in good condition.
                2. It is repaired, the pin is not original, but an old replacement.
                3. The 925 seems just wrong to me, like a modern stamp.

So my vote is: wait until a better one comes around. If I see a piece in good condition I will give you a hint.

                greetings
                Andy

300$ for a simple Deumer EK1. Funny guy. What next, Hindenburg Cross for 50$?

Well high prices are a norm in this hobby aren't they? Even our own Estand here is rife with prices that make you laugh. Like others have said, the pin is a replacement. As for the stamp, it doesn't look right to me.

I agree. You can find better or less if you look.
