Pilot Badge yea or nay??

This was in a box of Canadian and British WW2/post-war cap badges a friend got out of a garage. Threw it my way for a "Thank you". Any chance it is real? The photos make it look more shiny and new than it is. Marked 48 T

I'm still learning these myself, but I don't think I've ever seen that type of reverse backing before. Look forward to other's comments.

Unfortunately.....it's a clunker. For free.... makes a decent filler, but no where near the quality (or construction) of originals (of which there are many variations)....sorry.
