    SW ek2 marked 835...

    Hi All,

got this ek2 recently. For the price of a normal EK2, so I assume it is not a fake or an upgrade.

    What do you think?

    Best regards,
    Michel

I have severe doubts S&W would silver mark a cross on the front.

Maybe a jeweller did test it at some later point for silver and marked it, so that no one else would have to test it anymore....

I'm just learning Imp EK's, but I always thought/told Imp EK II's were never marked with the silver content. But, looking forward to learning more.

              Hi Greg,

I think you've mixed that up with 1870s. Award-period Type A or Type B 1870 EKs are never marked for silver content (that we know of). Later, jubilee pieces may be so marked. But 1914 EKs are very often marked for silver content.
              Best regards,
