Help with medal bar ribbon ID please

    HI Guys

I have just aquired this rather nice bar but a medal is missing from it and I haven't been able to find what the ribbon is? Its a medium blue with orange edge stripes.

Do you think this bar would be IDable from this combination of awards at all?

    Many thanks

    Patrick

The missing medal is a Prussian Crown Order 4th class.

      HI Don

Thanks- I don't recall seeing a crown order before that had orange stripes on the ribbon- I thought it was plain blue?

      Thanks

I didn't even see that stripe. Now I have to pull out the banderkatalog.

Should be one of the True to the Regiment commemoratives I think.

It's a old (pre-1913) style ribbon for a NCO long service award 1st class. The award that should be on there is a Prussian XV cross. That's odd, but how some old NCOs choose to wear them.

While the bar looks nice... isn't the combination totally nuts? The Baden medal is for EMs and NCOs. This does not in any way fit to the Hauptmann level RAO4.

I think there used to be an "Allgemeines Ehrenzeichen" instead of the RAO4. Then the bar makes sense for a old NCO. Not?

I discounted the NCO LS because of where it is located on the bar. I did ponder the RAO4 vs the AE though. The other possibility is that the LS medal on the end may be the 35/40 year civil servant award with the swaz.

Unlikely, as the bar seems not to be mid/end 30s but rather ca. 1920. And, for the Nazi Treudienst-Ehrenzeichen, shouldn't it have the Hindenburg cross?

I'm still with my guess: XV missing, AEZ for RAO4, and this is a nice old NCO/Leutant dR bar from ca. 1920.

                Patrick, will it be restored?

Thanks for the replies Guys, yes I would like to get it back to how it should look- when I got it the Prussian 25 yr long service was on the blue/orange ribbon and there was a post war veterans prussian front fighters cross on the end ribbon which is obviously wrong.
Can the 25 yr cross sit in the middle? and what award should be on the end blue ribbon?

                  Thanks

                  Patrick

XXV in last place as the ribbon matches. XV on the other blue ribbon, and the medal "VERDIENST UM DEN STAAT" instead of the RAO4.
