    Imperial Miniature Medal Set

Well I got this group of miniature medals and I believe they are imperial. I was wanting to find out more about these medals and was wondering if someone could enlighten me. The one medal I know of for sure it the the imperial cross. I assume it is a second class cross? The two medals on the second row, medals 2 & 3, left to right, with the red and white ribbon, I believe are some kind of Austria medals. Any help would be great.
    Thanks,
    Eric

What do you mean by post? I take it as they were issued after WWI, is that correct?
      Thanks,
      Eric

        Hi Eric,

Yes, issued after WW1 to just about everybody! Kind of like our National Defense Medal ("I was alive in 65"!!). It is the equivalent of the Hindenburg Cross for Austria and Bulgaria. They don't command a very high price, so many were issued. A lot of Medal Braces from the time period are "beefed" up by adding these on to them. Just as the Franz Josef anniversary cross was given to anyone who was in service at the time. Like the Kaizer Centennial Medal for the Germans. I love the War Merit Crosses though. I just picked up another full size one with crown. Very well made of silver and red enamels.
