Looks to be made of brass? Maybe one of those 'navy' spangenstuecks?

In my opinion this is a good one-piece from an unknown maker struck during Weimar or the Third Reich.
      Best regards,

        Hi All,

I'll bring this thread up as I found that there are two layers of paint on the core.
Underneath the black paint is a silver colored layer, I guess it is to make the paint stick better on the brass.

        Here are the better pictures:

        Best regards,
        Michel

            Ähm no

As a one pice construciton made out of brass it was silvered as a whole, so the core wears the silver because it was much easier and faster to dip the whole cross rather than to paint the "frames".

            Anyhow, interesting cross.

            greetings
            Andy

Didn't thought of that. Then it makes sense!
Will put this on the e-stand later on,

              Thanks,
              Michel
