Hi Jim,

Even from the cruddy pics it appears to be a nice (probably) wartime original in steel. It is quite common to see hinges and catches on the FA1Xs set onto plates like this.

I agree with Mike. You would think dealers would learn to take proper photos of the things they are trying to sell.
