As these core are cast and not stamped, I find the differences unimportant. They were likely made in casting-trees, as Carl suggested, in which one mold was not exactly like the other. That's a guess, but we see it with other cast cores.
    Best regards,

I don't get it why the differences are unimportant. No matter where on the casting tree your model is - it wouldn't change the design, relief can be weaker or stronger, but not like the difference in design of A and C, totally different core, look at the stem one is more strait the other one is not, I understand that casting is not like die stamping, but it's not like hand drawing - every time new lines, there is a one model which is in-printed and all casts should look a like, only maybe on the bottom of the tree a weaker examples, but no line banding and shape changing in details of the design.

Marc what do you think? Did your core came from the same model "mother mold" as mine and our crosses are identical?

Here is a picture of an other type of 1813 Prinzen, pictured in Iron Time p.41, the core and the frames are different from previously discussed types.

looking at these two I wood say it is important to note the differences ...

you're right ,,the right one looks like from a different manufacturer .

and to be honest I wood think the design off the oak leaves is Moore close to a 1900 design .

a sort off design and sharper detail that started with the 1870 ek's

          .

Agree with Kay. Right cross from post 18 looks a lot like the '1870 Type-A Prinzen'. Its definately not the same as the others.

Managed to tie 8 of those to the same frame die. Different flange width on many of them but the frame is the same. This also got the same cut out around jumpring as Aliks and Tonys.

'scrunched beads nr 17 & 18'. Frame needs to be rotated to find it.

So far 8 crosses but only 6 pics are good enough to really tell.

When it comes to cores would say there are 2 different designs on the 'scrunched bead 17 & 18' framed crosses.

Tony (A), Alik (B), Mark (C) and mine has the 'bent headband' crown. Numbers differs slightly on the bent headband ones. Not sure this is due to cast tree or just different mother molds.

Weitzes (red background) and cracked core (D) has the 'straight headband' crown.

Very interesting thread and worthy of more investigation
have noted from post 13 that the lower lobb of the central leaf on a/b are more rounded and are sitting on top of right leaf ,were as the lobb in c/d is more pointed and sitting adjacent to the right leaf.
Also over all the leaves of a/b are more rounded yet the leaves of c/d are more pointed....just my observation as someone who has carved cast moulds in the past......quick way to confirm would be to make reverse impressions in wax or similar medium
