      Sure, but still someone made the Schickle RK post war and had their inventory. So why not make some 1914's as well?

      How do we explain the paint job on these crosses? Even if the paint is Petroleum based it should not run off like that. If the paint is from the 30's it should have been lots more durable and harder to remove. It should not be removed by Acetone at all really, without extensive rubbing. Even nail polish is harder to remove than this paint was, at least that's what my GF tells me.

        I don't know -- I'm out of my league with paint questions. A repaint perhaps?
