Hi All,
Take a look at this. It was in some stuff a friend picked up. It looks like two peice construction. I don't see any maker marks. What do you think, keep it or dump it?? I've replaced the pics, hopefully these are better.

That is the ugliest ek1 I have ever seen. The crown lacks definition and what is two piece construction????
Maybe I'm just drunk but I don't like it?

It most likely is three piece, as it is soldered together.

Try using a different mode of macro on your camera or fiddle with the controls on your scanner and replace the above pics. What I 'see' could be a nice finish with flecks of tarnish building up on the back. The pin/catch/hinge assembly look OK based on the above pics, but I think a better view is warranted.

The front looks to me like a well-worn core and hopefully better pics will improve member's opinions of your find. As it is the front looks pretty scary but I hope it is merely the picture....
