    Thanks Don,

I see a lot of premium WHS ribbons and one interesting non-official FJ that I haven´t seen before. I would be also interested in the purpose of that strand on the top of big silver Kautsch´s ribbon. It looks it was there for some reason...or not?

It is sewn it, as is the side of the ribbon. I'm not sure when or why.

And then there is this. Perhaps not an award but a badge of courage none the less......

It's the Court jubilee medal of 1898.
                Here it is:

Dan, thanks for your appreciation! The number of pieces is pretty huge an impressive, but there's nothing too rare in the group. It's still easy to build up a honest collection of austro-hungarian decorations with a reasonable amount of money. In my honest opinion this field is still very much undervalued, altough the prices have begun to grow. If you compare it to, let's say, the german decorations of ww2, you can buy what is considered a rare austrian medal for some hundred boxes, while you need some thousands for a german equivalent

And thanks, Elmar Lang! It's always a pleasure to have your positive feedback!
Btw, the very last entries (bought in Milan last week) are not shown in the picture, that is a bit older

Found this Don's thread and since it has been "dead" so long, time to resurrect it. Besides Enzo has been waiting for new entries already long enough now

Here's few of the latest ones to have a place on my shelf...

                            1) One of my favourites - Feld pilot -badge. I read from somewhere that 797 pcs of this type was awarded - please correct me if that's false information.
