A Really Salty EK 2 Parade Mount

Here is a really salty EK 2 that I picked up at a local flea market for ... shall I say real cheap.

It is not something for my collection, but more just one I wanted to look at a little closer.

It is magnetic, but the core details are weak or thin looking. Also all of that cupric oxide oozing out of the frame tells me it is not a silver frame. At first I thought it had a pebbled core, but it is not pebbled, but certainly not smooth either. I also see the paint job is not what I wuold expect to see on a war time issue piece so I suspect - post war - private purchase - 1930's??

Like I said, I got this more as something I could post here and see what others would have to say about. .... I already know it is a salty dog!

That would be the first CD800 cross I've seen that didn't have a silver frame. Can you look at the ring and see if it is indeed stamped "CD800"? Gary

I cannot get to the ring unless I do a little "surgery". It is sewn under the ribbon. I will look at it some more and see if I canget to it.
