Help needed with EK I box inscription

Can anyone help me with this?

This is a very nice cased and boxed WS marked EK I that I recently picked up from the estand, but the seller did not mention the inscription on the back of the box. I did not even notice it until several days later when I was showing it to someone else.

I can read the last part:

"Champagne"

Fruehjahr 1915"

If anyone can help with the top part I wuold be very grateful.

It looks like 'Meinen lieben Eltern in Dankbarkeit von ihrem treuen Karl, Champagne, Weihnachten 1915'.

Thanks! That makes sense to me too. I already figured out the "meinen lieber eltern" part after I looked at the scan. Too bad there is not a last name, unit etc.
